My Thanksgiving break

This Thanksgiving break i am going to a hockey camp for two days at the Murphy rink in South Boston, MA. On Thanksgiving day i am going to my cousins house in Milton, MA with the rest of my cousins and family members. After Thanksgiving day i am going to hangout with my friends for the rest of break.

Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving is a national holiday celebrated primarily in the United States and Canada as a day of giving thanks for the blessing of the harvest and of the preceding year. Several other places around the world have similar celebrations. It is celebrated on the fourth Thursday of November in the United States and on the second Monday of October in Canada. Thanksgiving has its historical roots in religious and cultural traditions, and has long been celebrated in a secular manner as well.

Bowling Shoes

Many people wonder about the actual necessity of wearing bowling shoes when bowling. Not only is shoe rental expensive, but the shoes are ugly and unfashionable. People feel as if they could bowl just as well in their sneakers. Regardless of the bowler’s skill level, bowling shoes are necessary to play the game successfully and safely and to keep the alleys free from damage. Bowling shoes help with the approach and the gliding motion as well.


The approach is where the bowler walks and releases the ball into the alley. The approach is very important and must be free from any disturbances.  If the approach is disturbed, you could easily fall or trip, which could cause injury as well as affect the score of the game. Bowling shoes help protect the floor, the approach and the person wearing the shoes. Bowling shoes are constructed with the idea of a gliding motion in mind. The main difference between bowling shoes and regular sneakers is the sole. On a bowling shoe, there are sliding soles on each side. These soles are also soft and have no heels, as opposed to regular shoes, which can be slippery. Also, the sliding pad on each shoe can be changed so that the bowler can adjust their friction to different alleys.

V for Vendetta

V for Vendetta is a movie about a vigilante in Britain that tells the government he is going to blow up a major building in exactly one year. He wants revenge on the government because he was a test subject for a biological weapon and was burned severely in an explosion in the building with all the test subjects. He thinks that this will make Britain a better place for the future and give less power to the government. I think that V is a hero because he brings the country together to overpower the corrupt government of Britain.People like the idea of a conspiracy because they want to find out if it is actually true. It makes you ask a lot of questions. The facts of a conspiracy can lead to make you believe that the conspiracy is actually true. An example of a real conspiracy is if the United States of America actually were the first people to land on the moon. It may be a conspiracy because the video of the man on the moon has a flag blowing in the wind and there is no wind in space. I actually like conspiracy theories because it makes me want to find out the truth of what the government does. The government always has a cover up and that is usually multi media. The government can cover it up by using technology to make it look like what they want it to look like.
